レベルゼロ
oneAPI レベルゼロは、oneAPI プラットフォームのデバイスに合わせて調整された低レベルのダイレクト・メタル・インターフェイスを提供します。レベルゼロでは、関数ポインター、仮想関数、統合メモリー、I/O 機能など幅広い言語機能をサポートすると同時に、次のような高レベルのランタイム API で必要な各種明示的な制御を提供します。

API アーキテクチャーは、ベースとなる oneAPI プラットフォーム・デバイスとその機能の物理的および論理的な抽象化を定義します。デバイス、サブデバイス、およびメモリーは物理レベルで定義されますが、コマンドキュー、イベント、および同期メソッドは論理エンティティーとして定義されます。すべての論理エンティティーは、デバイスレベルの物理的機能にバインドされます。API は、デバイスへの低レイテンシー送信モデルや、同時ホストスレッド間でのワークの構築と送信に適合するモデルなど、多様な用途に合わせて調査されたスケジュール・モデルを提供します。レベルゼロは、OpenCL* など他の低レベル API の影響を受けますが、独立して進化するように設計されています。また、レベルゼロは GPU アーキテクチャーの影響も強く受けますが、FPGA などのさまざまな oneAPI 計算デバイス・アーキテクチャーでサポートされます。
